I read about her on my friend Sadie’s blog last month and was instantly smitten. Her new album is like all I listened to in Nicaragua. When I got back, I heard she’d died on New Years Day.

Yeah, I’ve been listening to her non-stop. Such a gorgeous voice.

I just found out about her death a couple of days ago and I am so sad. I saw her perform once in San Francisco, probably 2004 or so. I hope there will be a tribute concert by other musicians sometime soon.
